The big drops were ten cent pieces and little ones were fives.
Or, What was Lencho’s impression on post office employees?
The following Sunday Lencho came to post office a bit earlier to receive his letter. The postman handed over the letter to him. He was confident that God would answer his appeal for help. 5. Write an essay in about 250 words on the following topic
keeping to the outline given.
MY MOTHER Outlines:- (Introduction, Her biodata- her relation with family
members- Fast and festivals observed- her work at home- Conclusion)
Mother is the foundation of love and affection. A life without mother is beyond imagination. Whenever we think of mother, our mind remains filled with pure pleasure and peace. My mother is Geetanjali Das. She is fifty years old and five feet in height. Her health is normal. She is often clad in pink and light sky blue coloured sarees. She is of the mixed complexion with a pleasing smile on her face. Her voice is very sweet. She is polished in manners, so our neighbours like her most. She is a graduate in science, a good house wife and in her presence my house is paradise to me. My father is a Government servant who spends almost all day at the office. Mother takes care of the house. She cooks meals, prepares the family budget. My family consists of my father, mother, elder brother and myself. We love each other very much. Ours being a middle-class family, mother very often sacrifice her comforts. My mother is a pious lady. She observes almost all the fasts and festivals through out the year. We await eagerly for the cakes and special food to be prepared on the festive occasion. She feeds each first and eats last of all. She does all household work, cooks, food for us, sweeps the courtyard, keeps the house neat and clean. She keeps everything in order. If ever I feel ill, my mother’s care heals me and comforts me. Her presence and soothing words lessen my sufferings. She gives me medicine and prays god for my quick recovery. My mother is the embodiment of service and sacrifice. Hence it is rightly said “Mother and Motherland are greater than heaven”.
